• If you can dream it, we can create it...photos that reflect your unique style. We are modern, vintage - dramatic and carefree. We are eclectic and we specialize in all things love.

No matter what your style is, we can capture who you are - as an individual - as a couple - as how you would like to be remembered in this life by others - forever.

Our clients come from all walks of life - but 80% of them are artists and photographers in all fields of art. Yeah, our clients are pretty cool.

We work as a team, and we both see life differently - but that's great because we get the best of both worlds.

We are lucky that our clients let us be us, and capture them being them. We are lucky to love our job, and thankful that the world pays us to do what we love. We are lucky in love.

leah+gage // 2011

A few weeks ago in December I had the pleasure of photographing my good friend Leah and her son Gage!! We were scheduled to photograph the session in October but Gage had broken his arm, poor little guy! So the cast came off in Dec. and we had this fluke warm front so we decided...

website changes // photo booth info

When you are extremely eclectic, finding your place in a wedding photography brand can be difficult.  I have been working on streamlining the website, blog and my business cards to the same style [modern, clean, canary yellow, gray] and I actually started this in the spring.  Of course wedding season came along and well, it...

a little contest // rings+things

I am currently working on a few blog posts – and as per usual, it’s always SO hard to decide who won the best ring shot contest.  I guess I should explain.   Every wedding Steven and I have a contest – 1.best shot of each other working 2.best shot of the bride and groom 3.best...

addison ava + two seaside babes + angel canary // part one

This spring has been filled with crazy weather and it seems that everything that I planned for March, April and most of May have all been rained out. This week was no exception, as severe weather ripped through most of the country. However…I was very lucky that although the clouds above hovered the entire session,...

Kara + Justen had their engagement session last May, per their request at the IMA and the Canal downtown. It was a fun filled and action packed hour and a half! We started at the Canal and the light was really too harsh for my style of shooting so we drove next door to the...

mrs tabb // first grade awesomeness

I love it when I have clients (brides especially) that I can feel comfortable around, that make me smile, and that are truly amazing people.  It really is the core of the joy of my job.  As LaNesha says, she and I are just sisters from another mister.  ;)  LaNesha and David were married last...

One of my goals for this year was to work smarter not harder. As simple as that statement is, it’s not a simple feat. Humans are creatures of habit, cravings and passion. I live and breath my business and work (maybe because I love it so much) and sometimes it becomes an obsession. For the...

guest speaker at the south bend PUG

It was a tremendous honor to have been asked to be a guest speaker by Katie Whitcomb at a PUG in South Bend, Indiana.  For those of you don’t know what a PUG is, it’s Pictage User Groups (PUGs) that are local groups of professional photographers helping other professional photographers.  Everyone was extraordinarily nice and I...

Thank you for coming and sharing your story with us! It was great meeting you!

Monica Brazier - September 11, 2010 - 6:35 pm

Hi Angel. Thanks for coming to South Bend last week. You really provided some great information! I wanted to apologize for leaving early, I had to pick up my kids. I also want to try and redeem myself if it looked like I was tired! I am in the early stages of pregnancy and I am ALWAYS tired… so I apologize! I purchased the Gary Fong light dome based on your reccomendation because I have a real problem with shadows in my pictures. Do you feel this product really helps? Can you email me also and just let me know during which part of the wedding do you use the dome? Thanks again for your time and information.

Angel Canary - September 12, 2010 - 7:18 pm

Oh Monica, you are fine! I know some people moved around after the break so I didn’t really notice. ;)
I use it during the formals. ;)

i love my job

I’m still trying to catch up from going on a mini-vacation (really – am I the only one that feels sometimes it’s more stressful when you come back because you’re behind on everything??) but for now, I wanted to share a photo that caught my eye as I finished proofing Ashley’s wedding photos. It makes...

I had the absolute delight and pleasure to photograph some of the clothing line from addison ava today! so that's why I have more than one camera……

This weekend was filled with every emotion humanly possible, but mostly joy.  I learned to appreciate my TomTom while driving for hours on country dirt and gravel roads in another state (my poor little Eclipse) because if I didn’t have it, I’d still be driving in circles {thank you Ohio, for NOT posting detour signs, it...

rain rain go away….

I love it when the weather is about a 10-20% chance of rain and rolls in those natural diffusers normal people call clouds – however, I really am not fond of the weather guy when they call for a 6% chance of rain and it rains for 4 hours.  I mean, really?  So, I managed...
