i am angel canary {hence the birds and all of the yellow}
what can i say except that i am eclectic in life and in my work. i like a variety of styles and looks which i think has helped me grow my business to a wide variety of clients. i like anything that has glitter and/or is pretty and girlie, steven and i both love anything vintage and we both rock out some serious photojournalist photos. mostly though, it's our clients that make our work fabulous because they are happy and joyful couples that let us be us. we love to document the wedding day and all of the little details that go along with it but we get to bust out the creativity when it comes time for the photographs of the couple and their family, friends and wedding party - creating one of a kind photos that reflect their style. we think our clients are pretty awesome.we work as a team, and we both see life differently - but that's great because we get the best of both worlds.

we are lucky that our clients let us be us, and capture them being them. we are lucky to love our job, and thankful that the world pays us to do what we love.

I have been receiving a lot of emails lately asking me if I am going to run a special on my wedding or boudoir packages. I have debated whether or not I want to do this because I am already half booked for my quota for next year. However, after a discussion with Steven, we have decided that we are going to give away one of our wedding packages, for FREE.

Here’s how it works. I you book your 2011 or 2012 wedding with us (for the dates we have left open) within the next 12 weeks we will put your name in for the drawing. ONE of the lucky couples that books with us will be drawn and they will have a $0 balance! That means they will get their package for FREE. So the value is from $2800-8400 depending on the package that is booked. Because we travel to destination weddings as well, the only exclusion is that if the couple that wins has a wedding outside of the state, that the wedding package is still free, but they still have to pay for the travel fees (which is still a great deal.)

So here’s an example:Suzy Jones books with us for the Lovely package for $3400 for her wedding for July the 30th, 2011 with us on Sept. the 12th, 2010. Her name will go into the pool of all of the other couples that have booked with us over the 12 week period. We have a drawing, and let’s say it’s Suzy Jone’s name that’s drawn. Suzy Jones will receive her wedding photography package she booked us with, for free. Easy right?

So why am I doing this? Well, I like to give back and it makes me feel good!

To make it fair to all of the blog readers that will spread the word, if the couple puts your name down that you referred her to us when they book with us, if they win, you will receive a free session with all of the photos on the disc with a copyright release. See, it’s a win win.

little miss rihanna=one years old

It seems like just yesterday Rihanna was a tiny little newborn baby! I don’t do a lot of one year old photos because they are usually teething, running around EVERYWHERE, and they have learned the word “no” and use it for all occasions. But I love Rihanna&Meagan, so of course I chased her around everywhere and managed to get a few cute shots – between the running, crying and “no’s.”

And she was fascinated with the eyes on the dolls that would close and open.

I LOVE all of the faces they learn to make at age one!!! So so so cute!

Elizabeth (Buffy) and Nick were married in the fabulous Chapel Of the Immaculate Conception in Oldenburg, Indiana. I will have a full post soon, but for now, here is the start of their sneak peek!

I loved all of the old doors and furniture that adorned the Church.

Oh my, at this moment the flower girls were watching the bride as she looked at herself in her wedding dress....so sweet.

Kristen wanted a just because/trash the dress session with feathers. No problem. I wanted to make it interesting, so I made a short slide out of it.
