anne+ryan :: engaged :: IMA, indianapolis

It wasn’t quite Christmas in July, but it was pretty close.  Anne shares a deep love of pretty decorated glass and has a fabulous collection of vintage Christmas ornaments.  I drooled in envy as I watched her pull them out of her car, asking repeatedly, where did you find these?!?  When I photograph an engagement session with the styled packages, I try to find something that is unique to that couple that represents who they are.  Although most “material” things don’t really “define” a person, it can tell you a lot about their personality.  I can see Anne and Ryan now, decorating their first Christmas tree together as husband and wife.  ;)  We decided to have their session at the IMA because Anne also shares my love of flowers and it’s display of classic beauty, combined with art.  I had so much fun working with them and I already know what gift I’ll be getting for them for their wedding.  ;)  Here are a few of my favorite photos from their engagement session at the Indiana Museum of Art in Indianapolis.

Ryan is a pilot and Anne is a stewardess and they met doing evacuation flights out of New Orleans for Hurricane Gustav in August of 2008.  ;)
