sharon+kalani // married :: teasers

Today’s wedding photo teaser is not the typical portraits that I blog for the bride and groom after their wedding. I thought that this was such a sweet and loving moment that I would share this story set instead of a traditional portrait. All morning the bride, Sharon, was happy, bubbly and excited for the day. However, she was the same happy and bubbly that she was when I photographed their engagement session as well, but not nervous at all. I don’t think it had really “hit her” that she was about to marry the love of her life.

Sharon had requested to have a photograph taken of them before the ceremony, together, but at a place that they could not see each other before the ceremony. They did not want to do a first look (which if you follow my blog, you know they are full of emotion) and we chose this place because everywhere else had windows and reflections.

The bride reached her hand across and locked hands with her future husband’s hand and leaned her head against the door and giggled. The groom did the same. After a few seconds, the bride started to cry and darted into the room she was hiding in before the ceremony. I gave her a moment of privacy then snuck into the room. She said, “it’s just his hand, why am I crying?” I think that it was at that moment that she realized that she was about to vow to spend the rest of her life with Kalani. It was so such a tender moment, felt by all of the family and friends that were gathered including her sister Sarah and her mother.  I am so blessed to have been given the pleasure to capture this love.

Its moments like this that I believe all of heaven is rejoicing with two of God’s children who have chosen to do it all His way and the blessings come down and down and down. I do not think you you can see this and not feel their love and honor for one another!!
