christina + craig // married // part one

Fall weddings, what can I say but I LOVE THEM! The warm rich colors, the weather, it’s just a fabulous time of the year to get married! Christina and Craig were married during the fall season and the church halls and reception halls were fully decked with fall florals, candles and decor! This wedding couple wanted their wedding to have a vintage look and feel to it, so we post processed their photos to reflect their unique style. This was one of my favorite weddings and some of my favorite people to work with – I adore them and I’m sure you will too!

I love my job as a wedding photographer – it brings me such joy and I get to meet fabulous people and work with outstanding clients! But there are moments in my career that a meet people that have a profound effect on my life, whether they know it or not. Christiana and Craig and their family and friends are such people. Spending the entire day around all of them and watching the happiness and genuine love they have for one another transpire, not only makes me smile but it makes me want to be a better mother, wife and friend. I have been so very honored and blessed to have worked with them and their family!

You can see their sneak peeks here and here!

Starting the day at Ciarletta’s Salon in Shelbyville. They always do an amazing with the bride’s and bridesmaid’s hairstyles!
I’m scared to think about how much hair spray we’ve ingested over the years, ha! Christina writing a special note.;)

Doughnuts and mimosas, yum! It seems every time we photograph a wedding or someone getting ready in Shelbyville, they rave about these donuts. I wish I could remember the name of the place, but maybe it’s a good thing that I don’t.;)

Christina decided to wear her hair partly down, and I LOVED it! Her theme for her wedding was vintage, and she definitely rocked that look.

Did I mention how much I love bridal headpieces, with feathers non the less! These topped off her look!

A vintage post processing to compliment the wedding’s theme.;)

I can’t wait for another day that I can photograph a wedding at this cathedral! I loved it; it was beautiful and in the fall – the colors are just breathtaking.

I absolutely adored the bride’s wedding dress! It was elegant and it really showed off her curves.;)

Christina, you are stunning.;)

This is still one of my favorite photos – ever. My style is photojournalistic and I love catching moments like this, just look at that smile.;)

I LOVE this! Tammy, the bride’s mother, is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. You can tell they love each other so much!

Meanwhile, Steven was with the guys taking their photos.

A few bridals from the lovely Christina.;)

Craig’s a keeper.;)

The groom and the guys usually don’t take as long to get ready, so he can get some fun ones while the girls are getting ready. It helps to be a boy/girl team.;)

I usually don’t post altar photos, but I love this one of the bride. It’s a twist on the “traditional wedding photo” or altar shot.;)Isn’t she stunning?!?

At the same time I’m photographing the altar formals (when the bride and groom don’t do the first look or see each other before the ceremony) Steven will take the groom and the guys outside.

The bride and her mother are very crafty! This was a beautiful fall diy wedding! The bride did a remarkable job on the programs and all of the decorations!

Mr&Mrs! They are so happy to be married!

I will post part two of this wedding soon and I will pick up right after the ceremony and I will have a part three with all of the lovely fall details and the warm reception!
